Gorgas Library Display Case Policy
The Gorgas Library has two
display cases available
for public use.
They are located in the foyer at north entrance. The display cases
may be reserved for use by any individual or group. Display case
users must agree to the following guidelines:
- Display cases may be reserved for up to two consecutive
months.
- University-affiliated groups or individuals have priority
for
use of the display cases, but non-University organizations may
reserve the cases if space is available.
- Reservations are made by calling the executive secretary to
the
dean of libraries, at 348-7561 between 8:00-5:00
Monday-Friday.
- The display cases are locked for the security of the
displays.
When keys are needed to unlock the cases for set-up and/or
dismantling displays, they must be signed out through the dean's
secretary. Keys may be signed out in Room 201, Gorgas Library,
between 8:00-5:00 Monday through Friday.
- If a key is needed after 5:00 p.m., special arrangements
should be
made through the dean's secretary. Person requesting use of the
keys after hours will be required to sign for the keys and to return
them the following day.
- Exhibitors must put up their displays within two working
days of the
initial date requested for the use of the display cases. The
Libraries reserve the right to reassign cases if this is not
done.
- Exhibitors must remove displays by 5:00 p.m. of the last
date
specified in the original request. If this is not possible,
special arrangements must be made through the dean's secretary.
The Libraries reserve the right to remove any display that remains
longer than the period requested, and are not responsible for
the materials.
- All materials for displays are to be provided by the
group/individual
reserving the case. University Libraries will not provide paper,
staples, thumbtacks, etc.
- Displays are subject to approval of the Libraries
Administration.
